systemctl soft-reboot

Reboot userspace without rebooting the kernel

Restarts userspace by re-executing the init system and reloading all units, while the kernel and hardware stay up. This is much faster than a full reboot and useful for applying userspace changes. Hardware state, including running devices, is preserved.
