pvremove /dev/sdb

Remove the LVM label from a disk

Erases the physical volume label on /dev/sdb, returning the disk to a plain block device usable for anything else. This destroys the LVM metadata on that disk, so move or back up all data first. After removal the disk can be repartitioned freely.
