dconf load /org/gnome/ < gnome-backup.conf

Category: Administration

dconf load /org/gnome/ < gnome-backup.conf

Restore GNOME settings from a backup

load reads a keyfile from stdin and writes every key back into the database, the exact inverse of dconf dump. Keys present in the file are overwritten, so this restores a full backup in one shot. Run it while logged into the same session so apps pick up the changes.
