Trace packet path to destination (no DNS resolution)
Sends packets with incrementing TTL values. Each router that decrements TTL to 0 sends back an ICMP Time Exceeded, revealing its IP. -n skips reverse DNS for speed. Stars (*) mean a router isn't responding to ICMP — not necessarily a problem.
