squid -k reconfigure

Reload squid.conf into the running daemon

Tells the running Squid to re-read its configuration file and apply changes without dropping cached objects or active connections. Use it after editing squid.conf instead of a full restart. Equivalent to sending the HUP signal to the Squid process.
