firebase emulators:exec 'npm test'

Starts the emulators, runs the quoted command (here npm test), then shuts the emulators down — ideal for CI and one-off test runs. Test code can point at localhost ports without any cleanup steps. Add --only to limit which emulators boot, and --ui to also launch the Emulator UI.
